Diane Egbers honored as a recipient of the 2022 Medical Mutual Pillar Award
At Leadership Excelleration, we work hard to provide the highest caliber of leadership development and executive coaching to our clients, but that’s not where our commitment ends. We also try to be good members of our community, as well as stewards of overall personal, emotional, and mental wellbeing. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that Diane Egbers, founder and CEO of Leadership Excelleration, has been honored as a recipient of the 2022 Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service. The Pillar Award for Community Service honors businesses of all types and sizes that make outstanding contributions to the Greater Cincinnati community. Its purpose is to encourage a charitable environment, recognize creative efforts that make a difference, and strengthen the ties between for-profit and nonprofit worlds to serve our region.
Diane is an excellent example of what a successful partnership between non-profit and for-profit businesses can look like. In addition to leading the team at Leadership Excelleration, Diane also founded and serves as the Board Chair of the nonprofit Grant Us Hope. The driving purpose of Grant Us Hope is to be a change agent for teen suicide prevention. By transforming the conversation and working to prevent suicide, Grant Us Hope educates, engages, and empowers young people to enhance capabilities around mental health and suicide prevention, and, ultimately, works to change the culture of schools. Over the last 5 years, Grant Us Hope, through its Hope Squads, has created positive change in the culture of 145+ Ohio schools and served 400,000 students. A Hope Squad is a school-based, peer-to-peer suicide prevention program designed to equip and empower students to monitor for and help fellow students by getting help from an adult. Since the program’s inception, 45,000 people have been trained.
As a 2022 Pillar Award recipient, Diane joins 18 other Cincinnati-based leaders who are being recognized in January.
