Five strategies for well-being at work and in life!
New Research! We now understand the most significant barrier to well-being at work is STRESS!
It makes sense as technology is advancing at an accelerated rate that we struggle to adapt! We spend as much as 70% of our time ruminating/worrying about the past or our future. This is vital time lost, here and now affecting our well-being.
Five strategies to promote well-being:
For successful work and life integration, we need to prioritize what’s important to us when we’re at work and to keep it top of mind. By understanding what takes top priority, we can be present and achieve that balance.
We all have a story. To be the best version of yourself, start by being authentic and embracing your story. We develop a stronger sense of purpose when we know what we stand for. Leverage your unique strengths and develop a growth mindset.
Our strength comes from a community of supporters. Develop lifelong relationships with others and have a trusted network at work. Seek a mentor or find an executive sponsor to help guide you and serve as your sounding board. Most importantly, show gratitude to those who matter.
Understand your values and what fuels your passion and then commit to it. Walk the talk. Pursue your passion until you find JOY in your work!
Positivity is contagious. When we’re committed to cultivating a positive mindset it influences others to bring their best to work. Make positivity a habit!
“We think, mistakenly, that success is the result of the amount of time we put in at work, instead of the quality of time we put in.”
